HOOVER HEIGHTS MEDIA PROJECT

About

The Hoover Heights Media Project seeks to empower students through video production techniques and image literacy skills. In partnership with the IDEA Lab in the City Heights Public Library and Hoover High School, students dive into the understanding of the languages of cinema including media production training, interview techniques, and collaboration, but this program will also provide a safe, local space for students on a year round basis to learn and engage with the arts and their communities.

The course consists of two parts, one is the after school program where students are able to experiment with various art mediums; the second one is a production training, where each student creates a short film about a program funded by Price Philanthropies through the Hoover Community Connections.

This program is open only to Hoover High School students.
