This program provides career-building skills and technical instruction, empowering system-engaged youth to explore the criminal justice system, restorative justice practices, and community through film.

A partnership between the Media Arts Center San Diego and Second Chance, Emerging Makers is a media arts outreach and education program eligible for youth ages 14-24 who at least qualify for one of the following: living in Southeastern/District 4 of San Diego, currently enrolled in or an alumni of a Second Chance/MACSD program, currently or have been impacted by the justice system, OR enrolled in a SD Juvenile Court/Community School.
Cost
Students receive a stipend upon completion of the program.
