About Media Arts Center San Diego’s Exhibitions Programs

Media Arts Center San Diego (MACSD) evolved out of the San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF), which originated in 1993. MACSD also features a movie theater, the Digital Gym Cinema, located in North Park San Diego.

Through the San Diego Latino Film Festival, the Digital Gym Cinema, and our other year-round exhibition initiatives, we endorse the balanced and accurate representation of minority filmmakers within mainstream media and other creative industries, both as professional artists and technicians, and an increase in media programs that represent diverse universal perspectives in the 21st century.

Other film programming includes Exitos del Cine Latino, Que Viva Outdoor Cine Latino Series in San Ysidro, iVIE Awards & Student Film Festival and more.
